This year, people all around the globe are experiencing the challenges of social isolation and uncertainty of everyday life and unfortunately it is having a negative effect on mental wellbeing.
Now more than ever it is important to shine a light on mental health, in particular the mental wellbeing of men who unfortunately dominate suicide statistics.
3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are by men.
One man dies from suicide every minute around the globe.
Statistically, the construction industry has one of the highest number of workers suffering from mental health issues, which is why we decided to participate in the #MoveForMovember challenge this year to raise money for Men’s Mental Health.
At the beginning of November, Buildout’s team of 6 set out to ‘move’ 600km for the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour across the world.
We are extremely proud of our team who laced their trainers up and hit the roads, come rain or shine, to raise money for such a worthy cause.
We want to say a huge thank you to our candidates, clients, family and friends who have been kind enough to donate and helped us raise a phenomenal £1760.
